I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure you are getting enough protein each day! There really isn’t a meal that doesn’t require protein. Protein helps repair muscle fibers after a workout, you also use it to make enzymes, hormones and other body chemicals.

Rule of thumb to follow 1 gram of protein contains 4 calories. Typically the darker color of the protein the higher the fat. So white fish for example has much less fat than hamburger.
